The best weather on Lake Como coincides with the Villa d’Este’s open season of April-November.  Spring brings the unpredicatable but fabulous month of April.  In May, locals are getting ready to swim in the lake.  June is spectacular on the lake, perfect for an evening outdoor meal.  July and August are for sunscreen and lounging near the pool.  September brings cooler days and picking local fruit.  October is for hiking and searching the mountains for porcini mushrooms, nuts and castagne.
