Moltrasio

Moltrasio is extraordinarily perched above Lake Como with villas and narrow alleys dripping down the steep mountains to the lake below.  Scattered around Motrasio’s hills are lovely villas built several hundred years ago.  Prominent villas in Moltrasio include Villa Versace, Villa Pizzo and numerous others built around the same time as Villa Passalacqua.  It is in Moltrasio that Sir Winston Churchill decided to relax after WWII in the summer of 1945.
