Silk Industry

Since the mid 1800’s, silk manufacturing has been Como’s primary industry.  The quality of the silk and silk products, manufactured in Como has attracted attention globally.  Tailors and Designers from around the world travel annually to Como for the silk shows and to purchase the finest designs.  These include DKNY, Ralph Lauren, Armani, Gucci, Chanel, Prada and numerous others.
