The Remarkable Benvenuto Puricelli

One of our guests’ favorite days on Lake Como is to boat down to the Isola Comacina.  This is an island in the middle of Lake Como.  On the island is one of the areas best restaurants with spectacular views.  At the end of the meal, Benvenuto purifies his guests with a fiery speech and selects the vestal virgin to adjudicate on his concocted coffee.  “If it is good for her, it is good for everybody”, explains Benvenuto.
